Mikaail is making heart shape cards for valentine's day for mama, dada, yaya and himself. He said he has us in his heart including himself. I thought it was good for him to also love himself on top of loving us all. If you can love yourself first then only will you be able to understand love and be able to love others.
His class teacher will be guiding the class to create Valentine's Day gifts for their loved ones and Mikaail said he wanted to give us hearts. Considering that he has no vision and totally reliable on others, I am really happy that he knows that heart relates to some happy emotion.
This is the card that Mikaail's teacher had helped him create for Valentine's Day - wordings are all his.
Mikaail was diagnosed as cerebral palsy child when he turned one year old. He had stroke at 7. Did stroke rob him of his vision and mobility? I used to think so but not anymore. Looking back I feel it was highly likely his vision was lost due to the mishandling by the so called medical professionals! A student of the Spastic Children Association in Pasir Ris. He attends classes daily, accompanied by Aunty Yaya. He has wonderful and supportive teachers and therapists.
